We are proud to be able to offer a wide range of GCSE and BTEC subjects and here you will find a selection of videos for each subject in our KS4 curriculum, including the ‘Option Subjects’ from which your child can make up to four choices.

All students will study the core subjects of English Language and Literature, Maths, Science and Physical Education.  Elements of Religious, Social and Citizenship education will also be taught to all students. Our three pathways (Baccalaureate, Wixams & Bespoke) ensure that we will be able to deliver a curriculum that is entirely suited to your child.

Students will also choose from a range of special enrichment subjects, qualifications and awards delivered as discrete lessons each week. To further enhance your child’s experience at Wixams Academy, our highly popular and extensive ‘wrap-around’ extracurricular club timetable will also continue during the pandemic.

If your child would like further support they can book a meeting with Mrs Hepburn or our careers advisor Mrs Agbame by going to the main office in the Academy.

This process is very much a partnership between the Academy and families, and if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please note the deadline for the return of the options form to your child’s form tutor is Friday 1st April 2021.
